August 2005 to Present : Rose Hulman Institute of Technology<\/u><\/strong>,<\/p>\n

I am currently Associate Dean of Innovation and Professor of Engineering Management.\u00a0 I was promoted to full professor in Fall 2009 and became Associate Dean of Innovation in the Summer of 2015.<\/p>\n

From 2005 to 2009, I served as Associate Dean for the Rose-Hulman Ventures program.\u00a0 Rose-Hulman Ventures is a program of Rose-Hulman focused on corporate engagement and sponsored projects to provide unique educational opportunities for students and faculty while assisting technology-driven businesses.\u00a0 In 2010-15, I held positions as the interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty, and Dean of Innovation and Engagement.<\/p>\n

September 2003 to August 2005 : Rose Hulman Institute of Technology<\/u><\/strong>, Associate Professor of Engineering Management.\u00a0 Areas of interest and class offering include quality, operations management, manufacturing systems, systems engineering, entrepreneurship, and the small business.<\/p>\n

May 2002 to July 2003 :<\/u><\/strong> Montronix Inc<\/strong><\/u>.<\/strong>,\u00a0 Returned to Montronix to assist in company refinancing and transition activities to new European owner.\u00a0 Established global product development and quality system.<\/p>\n

September 2001 to May 2002 : Rose Hulman Institute of Technology<\/u><\/strong>,<\/strong> Associate Professor of Engineering Management.\u00a0 Areas of interest and class offering include quality, systems engineering, entrepreneurship, and the small business.\u00a0 Served as an Innovation Fellow at Rose Hulman Ventures.<\/p>\n

1990-2001 :<\/u><\/strong> Montronix Inc<\/strong><\/u>.<\/strong>, Co-founder and Stockholder, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer,\u00a0 Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Montronix Inc.\u00a0 \u00a0Montronix is a privately held $8 million, global company specializing in the development and application of machine tool monitoring systems.<\/p>\n

Leadership of engineering group providing research, product development, and support for electromechanical, software, and sensor products.\u00a0 Product technologies include embedded and Windows software, DSP techniques, and multiple sensor signals including power, force, and vibration.\u00a0 Leadership of operations group providing global production, supply chain management, and logistics capabilities.<\/p>\n

Received two NIST-ATP grants – $1.2M to develop an advanced machining diagnostics system and $1.3M to develop advanced monitoring system for open architecture CNC controls.<\/p>\n

Experience on a global basis with automotive and heavy equipment customers as a supplier, sensor manufacturers, the general machining industry, and related university\/government research programs. Broad background in financing, startup, management, and business administration of a small company.<\/p>\n

1982-1990 :<\/u><\/strong> Kennametal Inc<\/strong><\/u>.<\/strong>, Development Engineer, Manager of Sensor Systems.\u00a0 Research and development of basic sensor and signal processing techniques for machining monitoring.\u00a0 Montronix is a spin-off of Kennametal.<\/p>\n
