Overall Team Champions: For the fifth straight year, Terre Haute South took home top team honors in the Rose-Hulman High School Mathematics Contest. The proud team and advisers pose for a team picture with Rose-Hulman Mathematics Department faculty following the contest. Nearly 500 students from 26 high schools in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Iowa participate in the contest.<\/p>\n

Top Freshman Female: Stephanie Choi of Iowa City West High School is congratulated by Rose-Hulman Mathematics Professor Jeffrey Leader for being the top female freshman in the contest. She received two mathematics textbooks and an academic CD, from a fund established in memory of former Vigo County teacher Sally Shonk<\/span><\/u><\/a>. Yu Chen of Terre Haute South was the top freshman in the contest, and received a trophy and book prizes.<\/p>\n
