Azad Siahmakoun<\/em><\/strong> received his BS, MS, and PhD all in physics. He completed his PhD at University of Arkansas in 1988 prior to joining Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) .<\/p>\n

Prof. Siahmakoun, through his research and educational funding,\u00a0has established the state-of-the-art RF Photonics Laboratory<\/strong> and Micro-Nanoscale Devices and Systems (MiNDS) Cleanroom Facilities<\/strong> at RHIT.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Siahmakoun has published over 200 articles in the areas of nonlinear optics,\u00a0microwave photonics, MEMS and micro\/nanofabrication. He has 3 US patents to his name. Prof. Siahmakoun is the recipient of1999 Rose-Hulman\u2019s Board of Trustees “<\/em>Outstanding Scholar Award<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0<\/em>. Prof. Siahmakoun is also a Fellow<\/strong> of the International Society of Optical Engineering (SPIE<\/strong>) and Senior Member of the Optical Society of America (OSA<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
